This was their story, tell it.
Día de los Muertos is a major day in remembrance of the souls of those who died. Families gather at the cemetery to spend time together. They bring cooked food and sweets. They bring toys for the lost souls of little children. Often times shrines are assembled. These ofrendas can include anything from photos and favorite items to the persons favorite food and drinks. Traditionally religion is involved so leaving the Christian cross and statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
