Greedy Man Hosai Sarbaz Collage on Paper 30 cm x 45 cm 2025
The theme of my artwork is political injustice. I used the square color scheme and balanced composition. I included a man in the middle of the artwork wearing a suit while holding a fork and eating dollar bills. I added a blue wine glass beside him full of coins. I added big blue eyes for him to show he is greedy. Greedy people should be well taxed. My artwork was inspired by the artwork, “Money Hungry” made by Joe Annen. His use of vibrant colors have inspired my artwork.

In the box, I have written, “Injustice” to show that what is happening is not fair. This artwork was inspired by the artwork, “The unbalanced scales” by Stevn Dutton. The great use of composition has inspired my artwork.

Two people are standing on the table, the person in orange is a Mexican, and the person in blue pointing is an ICE agent. I used contrast, an element of art between warm and cool colors, and two different sized figures. My work was inspired by the theme and color choice of the artwork “To be free” by Barber Jamaal.

The theme of my artwork is political injustice. I used the centered composition and rectangle color scheme. The meaning of my artwork is that Afghan women are being silenced by the government. I painted an Afghan woman wearing Afghani clothes in the middle, while having her mouth being stitched up by the government. My artwork was inspired by the artwork, “Young Woman with Her Hand over Her Mouth” painted by Edgar Degas. The idea of a woman's hands on her mouth and being silenced inspired my artwork.
