Chinese Fan and Sleeves Dance (2019)

Performed by the Chinese Performing Arts Team.

The traditional Chinese dance, known as the long sleeve dance, commonly uses long flowing silk sleeves that extend down past the wrist. This graceful dance was a popular performance within the imperial court which has been performed since the early Chinese dynasties and still to this day. Enjoy the performance!

 
 

Taiko Performance (2019)

Performed by Taiko Club.

Taiko club is a club dedicated to practicing the art of Japanese drumming. Using large and dynamic movements, it is not only an audio performance but a visual performance as well. Taiko club will be playing Issho, meaning "together," and Arashi, meaning "storm" in Japanese. Enjoy the performance!

Chinese Dragon Lion Dance (2019)

Performed by the Chinese Performing Arts Team.

This is a traditional Chinese dance usually performed during Chinese festivals. A team of performers manipulates the dragon/lions in various directions, adding to the difficulty of the performance. Introducing the Chinese Performing Arts Team!

K-pop is a genre of music originating from South Korea, and is increasing in popularity. Today, they will perform two songs: one is ̈Feel Special ̈ from Twice and another one is ̈BOSS ̈ from NCT U. Enjoy the performance!

Vietnamese Fan Dance (2019)

Performed by the Vietnamese Student Association.

VSA will be performing the songs "Co Gai Que" and "De Mi Noi Cho Ma Nghe". This four-membered group will be displaying a traditional fan dance that transitions into a modern choreography. The songs that will be showcased are two drastically differing songs, one about loving your hometown, making your parents happy, the other speaking about breaking free from an abusive household, defying your parents, and partying. Introducing, Vietnamese Student Association!
